May 2007 The soil looks better because I added my first batch of home compost. Woo hoo! Was wonderful stuff and composting is a lot of fun for some reason. These are my snow peas. They needed something to climb and I hadn't yet brought the stakes out of storage. Made this little trellis from two sticks from the yard and some twine. It's worked out just fine. The peas loved it, and now some cukes do too.
