2006 Cucumbers and melons climb the teepees I made from twine and willow sticks. A week later, the cucumbers were dead, thanks to cucumber beetles (both striped and spotted) who infected the vines with bacterial wilt. The melon vines did fine, but the melons (honeydew) stunted and grew deformed. It may have been bad pollination, or maybe it was the beetles.
